On the latest episode of Everyday Investor with Rav Toor, I talk to my dear friend Carmen Campagnaro about how we can make money investing in a real estate investment trust (REIT). Carmen has her own real estate investor brokerage that works as one of the District REITS groups that help investors with advisory and financial services. Joining a REIT can not only increase the value of a property, but will allow you to bring in more rental income.

When Carmen launched District Reit, she wanted to find a way to invest in multiple residential and commercial properties along with her investors that want to invest alongside her. She is very active in the operations of the buildings and properties that the property trust acquires. For example, there is a property in London that has 36 units in it and is being renovated right now. After the renovations are complete, Carmen projects that the value of the property will be doubled and the investors who are in the trust with her will see the benefits of that, too.

Carmen’s love of real estate is something that she loves to share with as many people as she can, and a REIT is a great way to do that. If you want to join District REIT with Carmen, the minimum one needs to invest is affordable for many people at $10,000. Being a private REIT, they are not dictated by the real estate and industry stock markets, they are dictated by the actual value of the properties. Another perk of the REIT with District Property Trust is that it is diversified, meaning that it can do investments in whatever they think they can best increase value or create value in real estate including storage, industrial, commercial, residential, and mortgage.
